Mistä tällainen ajatus on peräisin?

Oho! Sori virhe, piti sanomani magnesiumoksidi, olisi pitänyt tarkistaa purkin kylki ensin...
Kirjallisuudessa on karbonaattiakin käytetty pepsiinin estoon , sieltä tuon otsikko jotenkin pomppasi omaan elämään :
1) "Inhibition of pepsin activity by some common antacids"
Persson, Kaj O. U.; Bunke, Bjorn Acta Pharmacologica et Toxicologica (1962), 19, 219-34.
Of the antacids investigated, Al(OH)3-MgCO3 co-dried gel resulted in the highest inhibition of proteolytic activity of pepsin.
Ja lisää :
2)"Effect of antacids and cholestyramine on pepsin activity in vitro" Liebman, William M. IRCS Medical Science: Library Compendium (1980), 8(2), 114.
Hog pepsin [] was inhibited by Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, and cholestyramine [11041-12-6] in vitro. The inhibition increased with increasing temp. over the range 4-37°, but was not consistently related to pH over the range 2.0-7.0. The inhibition was due to adsorption of the enzyme, and activity was restored by exposure of the adsorbate to 0.1N HCl.
3) "The neutralizing effect and antipeptic properties of some commonly used antacids"
Koskinen, Pentti Ann. Med. Internae Fenniae (1956), 45(Suppl. 25), 90 pp..
"The effect was studied in physiol. conditions of the antacids NaHCO3, Ca3(PO4)2, MgO, Mg2Si3O8, Mg4(OH)2(CO3)3, Al(OH)3, Na carboxymethylcellulose (SCMC), ion-exchange resin (Amberlite XE-58) and Na lauryl sulfate on the acidity of the gastric and duodenal contents and on the pepsin concn. of the gastric contents of patients with peptic ulcer and gastrodyspepsia after an ordinary standardized meal. Also the effect of the antacids on the peptic activity of acid-pepsin soln. in vitro was studied. An effort was made to det. (1) to what extent and for how long the 10 antacids, used in reasonable doses, neutralize the HCl secreted after an ordinary meal in the stomach and first part of the duodenum of patients with peptic ulcer and gastric dyspepsia, (2) whether conclusions can be drawn from the results obtained as to their therapeutic value, (3) whether these substances can inhibit peptic activity independently of the inactivation due to the rise in pH, and (4) whether postprandial peptic activity of the gastric contents is decreased by these antacids. The 10 antacids (in the dose size used in this study) were unable with certainty to inactivate the gastric pepsin of the patients. MgO (0.4 g.) was the most effective of the antacids studied with NaHCO3 (1.2 g.) only slightly inferior

Onkos tätä ainesta kukaan täällä kokeillut?

Jammo, oletko itse kokeillut?
